The dominant feature at the beginning of the week was the inclement weather bringing in moderate falls of rain from an upper level trough on a north-west cloudband. Over the five day period 105 mm of rain was recorded, bringing the total for the month to 206 mm. This is Maleny’s highest July rainfall since 1999 when 209 mm was recorded. On Wednesday 23rd the maximum temperature struggled to reach 11.3ºC; the coldest daytime temperature ever recorded in July.
OUTLOOK. Both daytime and overnight minimum temperatures are expected to be well below average for most of the week.
