The high that dominated our weather over the past week moved slowly eastward toward New Zealand leaving an upper level trough in its wake. This brought some moderate rainfall before clearing out to sea. The Range then enjoyed a few days of fine weather with light winds before another upper level trough moved in bringing over an inch of overnight rain. We are heading for a month that is going to be the third month this year with total rainfall in excess of their average. Temperatures have been above average for this time of month and only on one day this week has the minimum been down to a single digit.
