The week’s lowest temperature was 8ºC on Wednesday and the highest was 22ºC on Tuesday. The maximum 24 hour rainfall was on Sunday with 14 mm. Isolated showers across the Ranges were triggered by a ridge of high pressure extending up the east coast from a slow moving high near New Zealand. By the weekend the stream of showers turned to more general rain by an upper level trough. Once again the pastures and gardens have become saturated and the dry cold days of winter are not likely to be with us for at least another week.
